Larry G. Brown, Sr., originally from Duncan, Mississippi, flourished in Chicago, Illinois, where he discovered his spiritual anchor at the Healing Temple Church of God in Christ (COGIC)--a pivotal moment in his life occurred during the 1990 Persian Gulf War in Saudi Arabia, where he received a divine call that would set him on a path to ministry. Guided by his mentor, Superintendent John F. Thomas, Sr., he preached his initial sermon in Albany, Georgia, in 1997. Following a distinguished Marine Corps service, Larry relocated to Woodbridge, Virginia. In 1998, he was ordained as an Elder. By 2000, under the mentorship of Overseer Patricia A. Pringle, the founder of Evangelistic Deliverance Ministries in Harve de Grace, Maryland, he took on the role of a Pastor.
He began offering services from his residence and co-established the Spirit of Truth Deliverance Church (SOTDC) alongside Prophetess Geneice Brown. They forged a spiritual path with their children, Berkys and Larry Jr. Larry's affiliation with COGIC was steadfast throughout his journey, leading him to found the Apostolic Fire District. By 2017, his primary focus had shifted to fortifying the growth and stability of SOTDC. This commitment to his community culminated in the Heart 4 The Community Initiative launch that same year. Recognizing his dedication and spiritual prowess, Chief Apostle Jerry L. Taylor, the founder of the Apostolic Kingdom Network, consecrated Larry as an Apostle in 2019. Apostle Brown then instituted the Apostolic Fire Fellowship, International (AFF Intl).
Apostle Brown's reach extends beyond the pulpit; he is a revered teacher, community beacon, and staunch soul champion. As the Co-Founder and Co-Pastor of SOTDC, he has touched the lives of numerous believers, both face-to-face and through digital means. As the Presiding Prelate of AFF Intl, he offers spiritual guidance to churches globally. Apostle Brown's journey from the streets of Chicago to an international spiritual leader stands as a testament to the immense power of unwavering faith and devotion to the community.
